Concept Designs - Optional Step
During our Initial Meeting, we will establish your Project Requirements & Needs. If during this discussion we believe there are multiple design solutions, then we will begin the Design Process through Concept Designs.
Concept Designs are only Floor Plan’s to explore multiple design options to put a focus on room sizing & orientation. This process is common for Project types like:
Large Alterations & Additions
House Raise & Build Under
New Home
Concept Designs - Optional Step
Preliminary Plans
Preliminary Plans will be the Design Development of a chosen layout for Concept Plans and include 3D Views & Elevations to explore the Facade & Aesthetics.
If we decide Concept Plans are not required, Preliminary Plans will be your first set of Plans which will include Site Plans, Floor Plans, Elevations & 3D Views. Preliminary Plans have sufficient details for Builder approximate quotations & allow for Feedback.
Skipping Concepts & going straight to Preliminary Plans is very common for:
Decks & Carports
Small Alterations & Additions
Clients who have a Design Layout
Working Drawings
Working Drawings are the final set of plans provided for your Project. These drawings are used by your Builder for construction but are also required to obtain Building Approval from your Building Certifier.
These plans will include all the detailed information required to clearly explain how the design is to be built such as Dimensioned Plans, Elevations, Sections, Slab Plans & Construction Details.
Optional Services
We provide optional services to further enhance the level of detail & clarity within the design documentation when required.
This includes Electrical Plans - Outlining GPO’s, Downlights, Switches Etc. and also includes Interior Joinery & Elevations - detailing Custom Cabinetry, Fixture Locations & Standard Joinery.
While not essential for all projects, these services can be valuable for clients or builders who prefer a higher level of coordination & documentation
